Barcelona manager Luis Enrique won’t block the exit of Pedro Rodriguez as long as the striker’s suitor comes up with the right price
. “Those who want to leave the club can do so as long as their buy-out clause is covered,” Luis Enrique said after Barcelona opened their pre-season US tour with a 2-1 victory over the Los Angeles Galaxy on Wednesday night.
Pedro recently inked a new contract with Barcelona that lowered his buyout clause to 30 million euros ($33m, £21m). But he is thought to want to leave after finding himself behind the star trio of Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez.
“I have spoken with Pedro. I told him what I think and he told me what he thinks,” said Luis Enrique, who declined to elaborate on that conversation.
“If he comes out and says something, I will say something,” said the coach, who was even less forthcoming on the subject of Adriano’s future amid reports of the full-back is poised for a move to Roma. “I have not spoken to him because these are all rumors right now,” Luis Enrique said of Adriano’s situation.
